The Broadsword consists of hacking, thrusting, and chopping movements.
Of all the Tai Chi forms this probably looks the most martial.
Partly due to the the practitioner holding what is obviously a weapon,
but also because the form is done with speed, and occassionally, overt power.
Despite this the movements are still circular and based on the same pronciples as the solo form.
The broadsword is sometimes referred to as the knife form as only one edge is sharp, like a knife.
